MiniDRO
 Digital Readout System
Ver 2.4.4

MiniDRO Features:

  • Easy installation (Step by Step Procedures)
  • Detailed Instructions (Including Hints, Tips, Tricks, and some what not to do's)
  • Works on Standard and Metric machines (with "all the time" leadscrew driven linear movement)
  • Learns and Saves your Configuration Data (Leadscrews pitch, backlash, Axis direction, ect....)
  • Backlash Compensation (Each Axis)
  • Simple Digital Readout and/or with ...
  • User Program Files (This feature is a cross between Manual and CNC. Write Axis sequential moves, with/wo messages in "NotePad" or MiniDRO and load them into MiniDRO. MiniDRO will then tell you where, the remain distance to go, and in what direction, on which Axis. MiniDRO will even tell you when machining is complete. See example code below.)
  • Edit or Make User Program Files (No longer have to leave MiniDRO. It is a built in feature now!)
  • User Program File "Run"
  • User Program File "Rerun"
  • Boltcircle/s (Even Boltcircles on Boltcircles. Load, Save, Machine, Graphics, and more. In fact, with the right information in the variables of this feature, it is possible to make grid patterns also! Download the Manual for more information.)
  • File I/O Operations (Load, Edit, Save, Delete, and MiniDRO User Program File Directory)
  • Displays X, Y, Z, and A  actual position. Also Remain, Target, and Next positions.
  • Resolution: Dependant on the pitch of your Leadscrews. (Distance of travel per rev/288 = resolution. This machine is  X .00054 in. and Y .00041 in. In Standard Units Readout, and in Mill Mode)
(Readout is in .0005 in Standard and .01 in Metric)
  • Manufactured with Sealed Precision Gearing inside from: SERV-O-LINK
    (Thanks Ed!)
  • Axis + or - direction reversal (Each Axis)
  • Lathe and/or Mill Mode (Dictates Y Axis readout)
  • Calculator Mode (Simple)
  • Direct transfer of the result from the calculator to a selected Axis, in either '+' or '-' direction option.
  • 2 or 4 Axes (#4 for Indexing Table)(Indexing table NOT required, Axes come in pairs.)
  • Fast Zero buttons (Each Axis)
  • Direct Position Input (Each axis)
  • Mini Interchangeable Encoders
  • Max travel, is over 18 MILES (Yes MILES @ .00054 resolution)
  • Powered by the PC
  • Readout in Standard or Metric
  • "On The Fly" Standard to Metric, Metric to Standard conversions
  • Free Software Updates

"How to" Digital Readout Manual included (FREE, just download the Manual)

This is not a kit, nothing to build, nothing else to buy. Nearly Bolt on and Bootup.

These little encoders can be applied to many other applications, such as:
Wind direction, Wind speed, rotational division, linear placement, angular indication,  ect...

Can also be used with/by:
Schools, Robotics, Experiments, The list is endless.
Software can be reconfigured to suit your application. (Contact MiniDRO for more information.)
