MiniDRO PC Requirements:
Most any old PC (or compatible 386 computer, I run a 66mhz and 8 meg ram, don't know the min. I believe it will run on a 286, not sure. Not available for Mac. Old PC's can be picked up most any where for a few pennies. Check Thrift stores, Salvation Army stores, Goodwill stores, Recycling centers, or on the side of the road, ect...Even old Laptops can be used.)
Keyboard (no mouse needed)
1 or 2 Serial Ports (Com1, for X and Y Axes. And Com2, for Z and A Axes. 2 ports = 4 axes.
You can add another com card if you don't have 2 serial ports, contact MiniDRO for info.)
Monitor
Floppy Drive (Hard Drive not necessary, but can be configured to run from a Hard Drive. Runs with no windows in DOS. You may have to configure your BIOS to boot from floppy.)
Your basic tools
The ability to make modifications to your machine, ie: drill and tap holes, ect..
MiniDRO can not, and will not, be held responsible for any mistakes, mishaps or accidents....
